Description of the job
Three vacancies for a A400M Training Systems and Services Technical Authority and Qualification has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Barajas.
The successful applicant will join Services Department .
Tasks & accountabilities
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
A. The jobholder manages and monitors the subject technical Airbus Defence and Space activities to ensure that the project is being carried out within the expected technical performance as well as in line with the On Time, On Cost, On Quality objectives
B. The jobholder manages the technical interaction between Airbus Defence and Space and other stakeholders involved in the project.
C. The jobholder establishes and monitors the project technical policies and procedures.
D. The jobholder analyses technical considerations and makes recommendations to the project management from a cost point of view
E. The jobholder is to provide technical input during all project lifecycle phases – from business case/bid phase to acceptance and in-service support.
F. The jobholder provides to guidance to the project management team in technical matters.
G. The jobholder is to enforce civil and military regulations and standards including JAR-FSTD A and international regulations related with simulators.
H. The jobholder will follow up closely qualification and product acceptance open issues. This activity includes regular communication with the various stakeholders participating in the acceptance and qualification activities.
I. The jobholder is to support or lead FSTD product acceptance processes from design review phases to product qualification by relevant authorities.
J. The jobholder is to provide regular reporting of the product acceptance process to the FSTD Customer/Suppliers and Airbus Military project management.
K. The jobholder will provide support to FSTD operators on technical or operational aspect following entry into service.
L. The jobholder is to provide technical support the development, acceptance and maintenance of the FSTD objective tests (QVSD)
M. The jobholder is to provide technical support of new qualification and annual re-qualification of devices as necessary in the Airbus DS Training Centres Network.
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
Educated to degree level in Engineering
Extensive knowledge in simulator architecture, simulator systems, simulator regulations, and A400M aircraft systems
Detailed knowledge of civil and military flight simulation training devices regulations
Previous experience in relations with aviation authorities in the qualification of FSTD
Previous experience in the development of civil and military FSTD
Previous experience in support and operation of FSTD
Previous experience in Military Aerospace Industry - preferably A400M
Capability to develop own processes and tools to adapt the way of working
Capability to earn a credibility, respect and good reputation among all stakeholders, suppliers, customer, and several authorities.
