Space Project Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION The candidate will work as the coordinator of space projects with our clients. She or he will be the point of contact with the client and stakeholders for those projects. The candidate will also be responsible for the coordination of the activities of the technical team involved in the project as well as for the tracking of costs, deliverables, and deadlines. POSITION TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following tasks will be assigned to the candidate: Manage multiple projects; Plan the project and track its progress; Identify risks or any other obstacles in the project development; Manage communication with the client and stakeholders to track action items, solve problems, agree changes in the scope, etc.; Coordinate meetings and milestones reviews with the client; Coordinate the technical team from different areas to achieve the objectives of the project; Track the costs and time dedicated to the project according to the project plan and the company internal processes; Communicate project metrics, risks and deviations to the operations team. CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS The candidate must have a Bachelor or Master's degree in engineering or other technical degrees. The required experience and skills are: At least 2 years of experience in management of technical projects; Good communication skills to successfully translate complex technical concepts to international clients and stakeholders; Proactive attitude to solve problems; Good organizational skills; Outstanding communication skills in English (C1 equivalent). It will be also desirable the following qualifications and skills: Knowledge of PMI and agile concepts; Academic background in engineering; Experience with aerospace projects applying ECSS management standards; Knowledge of ISO and similar quality standard; Experience in team management; Experience working with technical requirements. The applicant must have good communication skills and must be able to work autonomously in an effective manner; while cooperating in a potentially international and culturally diverse team. Moreover, the applicant must have good analytical, organizational and reporting skills; together with a proactive attitude to solve problems individually and an interest in technology development.
